Research
Nowadays, due to the advancement of technology and the emergence of new industries, new professions are emerging, the need for new personals is growing, and some old jobs are dying. Because of these changes and many other personal reasons, many people look for a new passion for their career. I have tried to find such people who want to change their profession. I have conducted user interviews to define the needs of potential users. Most interviewers reported that they generally do not know which occupation to choose to change, and most of them feel alone and lost on their career transition journey.
User stories
Tobias
Tobias Amon is an accountant who needs to find his new passion for a new occupation because he is unhappy and unsuccessful with his current job.
Claudia
Claudia is an architect who needs to change her profession as a product designer and stay focused during transition because she wants a quick transition into product design field.
Problem
Adults who want a career change mostly feel alone during the journey. Most of them find it challenging and intimidating. With these feelings, most of them, in the very beginning, quit trying to find a way for their dream job, and instead, they stuck on the same jobs that they don't like for years. It means that users want to be able to find or get inspired for a new career change and want to be able to track their achievements and progress without feeling alone. They may need a mentorship service as well.

Usability testing
The low-fidelity prototype was the tool for usability testing. The aim was to determine if users can intuitively use the app to search for new career paths. I have tried to find out if users can easily follow their goals and schedule with the app. I have asked participants if they find the app useful or not.

Solution
New Career has been designed as a cross-platform experience and created by a mobile-first approach. Users inform themselves on the website about possible career paths, get inspired by others, and then choose a new profession to change. After users choose a new profession, they set it as a goal on mobile or desktop versions. New Career suggests a possible timeline and main tasks for achieving the goal. Users can edit this timeline and add other tasks according to their own pace and preferences. On the mobile application, users will be able to track their goals and tasks daily basis, as well as on the desktop version. They can assign mentors for themselves and stay in touch through the process on New Career platforms.
